Reading: we are trying something new this week since we have a few busy nights: Read Days 5, 6, and 7 are due Friday for book club discussion.  Students only have Read Day 5 assignment for today; we discussed spending the time between after school and dinner/trick or treating to spend doing this; even if it's for 5 minutes (I'm excited to go out, too, so I get it!) 🎃☺️👍

Word lists are due tomorrow

Parent Teacher Conference Request forms are coming home tonight.

Band concert tomorrow night; black pants or black skirt; if wear pants, wear black socks; black shoes
Be in band room at 6:30pm to change into band shirt.

Wednesday, Oct. 26

From Mrs. Barger: Don't forget, our last after school rehearsal is today! We may go a few minutes late.
Thursday's dress rehearsal is at 2pm. Thursday night student should report to the music room by 6:20 to get in costume. Please bring a book to read while you wait for others to get in costume. We will line everyone up on the second floor to go down to the performances both times. Thank you!

Practice spelling words (The 3 S's opinion)

Ask students about why Jamestown failed at first and then was successful (they should be able to name three reasons for each!)

Field trip tomorrow.  Dress for weather (maybe rain!).  Although it is a paid out of uniform day, students still need to be in their Crossroads uniforms because of the field trip.

Friday is a half-day; we released at 11:30 AM. It is also a PTO treat day: $.25 for Airhead candy

Math: HC p. 23 (students brought their math journals home so they can look at them to help do their homework 👍☺️)

Spelling: new word lists; spelling choice this week: The 3 S's: use your finger to write your words two times each in salt, sugar, and sand

Thursday is a paid OOU but we are going on a field trip so 5th graders need to wear their CCA uniform shirt.  However, I said they could pay $1 and at least wear a hat in school for half a day :)

Tomorrow, Sweetest Day orders are due...my bad as I only just gave out the order forms tonight...it's a fundraiser for a high school group 💕
